This popular side dish in Cuban meal are sweet fried plantains. They are easy to make and delicious as well.

  1. First remove the peel from the plantains and cut the plantains into 1/4 inch diagonal slices.
  2. Add the oil to a frying pan and heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the slices to the oil individually and cook until they are golden brown.
  4. Transfer the plantains to a paper towel to help remove the oil.  Serve.
